Reflection Room 217 – Upjohn Library Commons
It is open whenever the library is open. It is a Reflection Room and not a prayer room (for a bunch of legal reasons). It can be used as a drop-in space for any student or group wishing for space for prayer, reflection, meditation, etc. We ask that students remove their shoes before entering the space. On the wall is a graphic signpost pointing toward various holy spots around the world. Muslim students should note that if they orient themselves toward the tip of the Mecca sign post, they are facing in the correct direction for prayer. Available in the space are prayer rugs, hand labyrinths, chimes and other aids to meditation or prayer. If students want or need other things to help them use the space, they should contact Chaplain Liz Candido and she will make it happen! The Reflection Room is located in Room 217 of the library.
